The accounting major at Wesleyan College, offered through the Department of Business and Economics, offers a unique combination of courses for students in the social sciences and humanities as well as accounting. Wesleyan College's Institute of Management Accountants is a very good place for students to research the Certified Managerial Accountant designation. The Institute of Internal Auditing is for Wesleyan accounting majors who are interested in pursuing an investigative role in accounting. Business and Accounting are among the top five most popular majors at Wesleyan College. Internships are required of all accounting majors for graduation. Accounting majors are encouraged to study abroad during their junior or senior year.
