The undergraduate Accounting program offered in the J.M. Tull School of Accounting, housed within University of Georgia's Terry College of Business, is ranked 6th in the U.S. by Public Accounting Report and 17th by U.S. News and World Report. Students at the J.M. Tull School of Accounting consistently have the some of the highest scores on the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam at two and a half to three times higher than the national average. Tull School of Accounting places strong emphasis on national service and the faculty is known for setting high standards in the classroom. Internships are not required, but are strongly encouraged. Career and placement:
Graduates of the J.M.Tull School of Accounting Bachelor of Business Administration are in high demand and typically achieve both short-term and long-term career success. Each student's resume is included in the annual Accounting Resume Book that is mailed to over 150 employers who are actively seeking University of Georgia accounting graduates. Every fall semester accounting students are encouraged to attend Accounting Career Day to meet prospective employers for job or internship opportunities. The J.M. Tull School of Accounting takes an active role in the placement activities of its students and most students receive employment quickly after graduation if not before the end of their senior year.

University of Georgia requires all accounting majors to enroll in Professional Accounting I and II. These Accounting courses explore various career opportunities in the profession and include business and writing exercises that fine-tune resumes and develop public speaking skills.

University of Georgia's Career Center also aids students in their job search. The Career Center provides interview facilities for recruiting activities and daily seminars on the job search process.
