University of Arizona
Eller College of Management
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting
The undergraduate accounting program at the University of Arizona, a large public institution located in central Tucson, aims to provide a quality business education that prepares students for successful careers.
The accounting department prides itself on its active involvement in scholarly research — most members of the accounting faculty contribute regularly to business and academic journals. This reflects the University of Arizona’s greater goal of serving as a primary research institution.
In addition, the department is dedicated to promoting diversity within the accounting program and within the accounting profession as a whole. In an effort to attract students who are traditionally underrepresented in accounting degree programs, the school has created the Business Careers Awareness Program (BCAP). Partnering with top accounting firms, BCAP invites high school students to participate in a weeklong pre-college seminar that is designed to prepare students for undergraduate coursework in the discipline.
