The W.A Franke College of Business
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

Northern Arizona’s undergraduate accounting program aims to provide a comprehensive accounting education that is cost-efficient without compromising the program’s high quality. The W.A Franke College of Business, which houses the program, offers many academic and professional resources that serve to enrich the accounting curriculum, including state of the art computer facilities and a vast library that contains substantial accounting material.

Featuring small class sizes that allow for significant faculty-student interaction, the program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in accounting, as well as for lifelong career advancement. Frequent guest speakers, coupled with the faculty’s own business background, are a part of the school’s effort to integrate professional education into the curriculum.

The required BizBlock course, which combines instruction in management, marketing and communication, provides students with hands-on, collaborative work training. BizBlock students participate in simulations that reflect real-world business tasks, learning skills like how to prepare business plans and how to request funding.

In addition to the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Northern Arizona University offers an undergraduate accounting certificate for non-business majors, with the goal of training liberal arts students in the basic principles of the discipline.
